First weekly challenge

Actualizado: 13 mar 2021

Hello, world. Today I had this idea of starting with something that will help us all keep our learning habits strong. The idea is simple: every week I'll publish a challenge where we can team up to refine our skills in our target languages.

The purpose of the weekly challenges is to spread the use of resources and techniques so that you can keep those you enjoy the most. Besides, I am excited about the idea of creating a space where people from several places and contexts come together to achieve their language goals. Don't miss them!

As far as I understand, you'll have to download the Wix app to be able to participate (excuse my doubts, I am new to using this platform). You will find the link to join at the end of this post.

This week's challenge is focused on learning vocabulary. How much time do you think it will take you to learn 140 words? What would you think if I told you that I found a method to do it in a quick and efficient way? Accept the challenge to join the Secret Society of Enthusiastic Learners. Actually, I just made up the name, but the concept sounds good, huh?

Römerberg, in Frankfurt

The inspiration for our first challenge came during my morning study. Today I used the Anki app to learn 25 words and some sentences which include them. I wanted to dedicate this day to this language because it's the anniversary of my brief stay in Germany. My visit would have been easier if I had known 140 more words...

After publishing this post I'll listen Hikaru nara and the playlist of Japanese songs that my cousin just sent me (thanks again!).

I hope we can share the first of many challenges this week. Feel free to share it with your friends and acquaintances, leave a comment in this publication and subscribe to the blog so as to receive up-to-the-minute notifications of my posts.
